summer camp

another year of summer camp… another year of amazing serrvices that changed lives forever. going to summer camp is like literally stepping back into the 80’s..little or no cel phone service, no internet service, rectangle pizza, bunks and mattresses over 20 years old and of course chocolate pudding in a dixie cup with a cherry on top. 460 were packed into this camp and no beds to spare. the crowd was at capacity and some were turned away. we knew that this was going to be a powerful week. the air conditionaing in the gym where we hold services and play disgusting team games was on one unit and limping along. it seems to be falling apart all around the edges. its an old animal them park with gator cages and a bird pavillion as well as a tree that is thousands of years old…32 ft around the base of an oak tree. its all old, but the move of God was fresh and real. the night services were amazing and the atmosphere was intense. i even had an opportunity to be a designated hitter and preach one night. it was a fun and powerful experience… get the podcast from itunes
God was in that place once again. students lives were changed forever. this was probably one of the funnest places i have had the opportunity to preach next to designated hitting at calvary christian center. God moved at camp.
