the future…still unwritten.

today i had some thoughts about the future…

Ask yourself a simple question: where are you going?

today i went to all three services at calvary (they were amazing) and talked to all kinds of people…the homeless, the teenager, the college student, the millionaire in the parking lot, the sports writer as well as a few children.  I saw people that knew where they were headed and people that were trying to figure it out and people that simply did not have a clue.  If you really dont know where you are headed then here is some basic biblical truth that can help you out…jesus died not just to forgive you of sin, he died because people don’t know what they are doing. He said it on the cross hanging between 2 thieves…”father forgive…they don’t know what they are doing.” So many go to school not knowing, go to work not knowing, some go to church not knowing (I am at home typing this blog watching spiderman 2, checking my fantasy football scores- i am losing…today i went for a bike ride with my boys and ran into 2 teenagers walking the neighborhood smoking pot (this is for real…these boys dont have a clue).  if you dont have a clue then realize this- God does – he has a plan and a purpose as well as the ability to execute it!

where are you going?

If you really don’t know I have an idea that will revolutionize your life! Get close to the one that hung the stars, created light, set the world in motion and and hung on a cross so that we could have life! He came to give us life! Jesus came so that we could know where we are going! He knew what he was doing when he said father…forgive them they don’t know what they do.
