wednesday night recap…

thoughts after a the storm…well it wasn’t much of a storm…words i would use to describe tonight’s crowd…lively, intuitive, receptive, responsive, mellow, engaging…the service was driven by media in such a way that i designed it to tug at your emotions.  we showed video clips that dragged all kinds of responses out of the crow, the oos, ahs, ouch, gross, wow…it was all in the media…then when they least expected it we hammered them with the images of the crucifixion…it nearly ripped the atmosphere from the room…what was minutes before a jovial happy hearted feeling turned to shock and awe…i think that’s what the message of the cross is all about.  shock that they would treat a human being in such a horrific way, awe of the day Jesus would return!the icing on the cake was 20 lives came to the altar and these 3 girls wept there way to salvation…
hours in front of a computer pulling media together and hours of planning all culminated with lives being transformed at an altar!

what am i thinkin?

this blog at times revolves around the idea that…i have so many thoughts bouncing around on the inside of my skull, that this is a great avenue for me to let others know what i am thinkin… today i spent like 5 hours on final cut pro for wed night…we have a compel night and i am stoked about the creative idea.

watching xgames on dvr i saw shaun white win gold…he pulled off a 1260 in the driving snow-my thoughts how do you get to the point that you can pull off stuff like that. if my body moved like that something might snap! oh well i just love carving on a snow board.

jake and al are playing wii (rayman raving rabbit) jake just lost his mind…competition in the family seems to be big. our boys compete all the time…everything is a race…nobody likes to lose. it gets really out of hand when they start swingin over a game! well if you have ever played rayman you might understand too. we went for a ride on our bikes around the neighborhood and somebody has to be in the lead! whatever it is somebody is gonna compete over it!

relationships…

today i heard a great word in my church and something hit me like a 2×4 in the head. it was strong. “God will never call you to do something that he wont give you the right relationships to bring it to pass” connection is everything!

it hit me so hard i wrote it in my journal on the front inside page…(a place for quotes that i hear all year). i got to start thinking bout the relationships i am in right now and wondering how helpful they are to my destiny! i look at some of my relationships and i can see a bright future ahead-something only God could prepare…then i look at others and just scratch my head…

who ya connected to relationally can make a difference in your destiny! i made a decision this morning to get connected to people that can help my destiny!
