are you a mover and shaker or quaker and taker?

in ministry are you reacting to issues or are you proactive when it comes to issues? the nature of ministry can bring crisis at any given time. there is so much drama in kids lives that you can run around responding to the drama and not creating the moment. if we continually respond to crisis then we wont be able to create an atmosphere that is proactive. we wont have the plan in place to respond to life rather than react to life. there is so much that has to be done in ministry, that i have learned that if we don’t have a plan, then we will only respond to what happens.

the word proactive means…creating or controlling a situation by causing something to happen rather than responding to it after it has happened.

do you respond after things happen or do you have a plan in place that will cause something to happen. let’s be movers and shakers rather than quakers and takers. sounds like a sermon title…but i was always told “don’t start something…wont be nothing”

my thoughts today…as i plan for a better tomorrow.
